One of the first things you will notice is that the different types of cichlids originate from different parts of the world. 

It may surprise you to find out that there are cichlids originating in Asia, Africa, and North America.

Another thing you may notice is that some cichlids are very small, while others can get quite large. 

Some of the larger varieties include flowerhorn and red devil fish.
